Mammography is a specialized area of radiology technology that uses x-ray to image possible tumors in the breast. Mammography technologists perform screening and diagnostic mammograms according to strict quality assurance, and quality control guidelines produced by the Food and Drug Administration and the American College of Radiology. Requires additional certification from ARRT.
